For instance, cutting down of trees to create surplus land for production remains a negative thing. Clearing of the trees may end up causing the water shortage. Trees form forests that act as water catchment areas and sources of our rivers. The inadequacy of water leads to dryness of the land hence no food production. Emission of dangerous chemicals to the environment can also lead to soil pollution. Some of the chemical wastes released to the atmosphere may lead to land degradation hence no production of food.
