Peer Response 1

Hi Michele. I agree with you that the social dimension of wellness is a quintessential aspect of the wellbeing of human beings, according to psychology. Just as you have stated, the social dimension of wellness focuses on the ability to maintain personal and professional relationships to have a support network (SAMHSA, 2017). The social dimension of wellness also illuminates the ability of an individual to connect with others on different levels. I agree with you that the main challenge involved in maintaining social wellness includes the reduction of proper nutrition and exercise as one changes his or her socioeconomic status (Schwartz, 2013). A perspective of the four lenses is essential to the discussion involving social wellness. The natural sciences support social wellness by increasing the interaction of individuals via cell phones, computers, and other technologies. History supports the social dimension by providing a review of the personal experiences that happened. Such experiences may affect how an individual relates to other people. Humanities make use of the culture and the human experiences to comprehend the individuals and their role in society.

Peer Response 2

Hi, John. It is true to say occupational dimension of wellness is the engagement of an individual with the work that they find rewarding and meaningful. The occupational dimension also encompasses the ability of human beings to have meaningful work relationships, career goals, and handling work conflicts such as work-life balance (Garcia, 2015). I agree with you that the main setback involved in occupational dimension is in the understanding one's primary goal in a given career. It is also correct to say that of the four lenses, humanities play a significant role in the occupational dimension. The main reason given is that humanities provide solutions to the pitfalls affecting the occupational dimension (Stoewen, 2017). The other lens in the occupational dimension is the historical dimension, which provides an individual a track of their goal setting and achievements when it comes to working. The social science lens focuses on the individual's ability to interact with one another in their occupational settings.
