This article is good according to me. Looking at the issue of health across the economically underprivileged countries, it is learned that there is a need for intervention. It is not appropriate for the governments to monopolize the sector of health especially the deadly diseases such as HIV/AIDS. According to biblical doctrines, it is a mandate of Christians to care for the people who are in need (Patterson, 2010) . The need is overlapping with the medical sphere and the health condition of every member of society. I support the calls for the writer of this document regarding the unexposed biases and agenda which might be against the principles of human rights.

It is commendable from the statement in this document that there are churches which are putting the obligations of the ethos thought to be against the biblical teachings. It is within the confines of human rights stipulations and ethos that there is a need for respect for the rights of women and gay people (Patterson, 2010) . It indicates that these Faith-Based Organizations are going and overlapping their social milieu to embrace the societal needs of non-discrimination. Further, as pertains to the issue of HIV patients, it is learned that there are differing opinions. However, I would aver as a Christian that there are paramount principles of one not judging others.

Faith-Based Organizations have a role to play in community health. As stated earlier, it is within the good standing that the matter of health is not left to be monopolized by any organization. In some cases, especially for the countries with political and leadership instability the provision of health services can be marked by issues such as discrimination based on the political opinions and other demographical factors. Faith-Based Organizations are essential in breaking the monopoly in the health sectors as they involve in the service provision on the grounds of biblical teachings.

There is a likelihood that the activities carried out by these organizations will be devoid of discrimination and biases. However, there is a need for the verification of the principles and ethos which these organizations stand for. Taking, for instance, the case of HIV patients, there could be elements of a given Faith-Based Organization having its teachings derived from the biblical teachings such as warning against fornication and adultery. It can be realized that an HIV patient contacted the diseases through extramarital affairs. According to biblical teachings, it is sinful for an individual to engage in extramarital affairs. Thus, it is appropriate that the mission of these organizations are known.

Due to their importance in community health, these Faith-Based Organizations should be in charge of a given line of health provision. There are a number of initiatives which the Faith-Based Organization can take part in. One of the initiatives is to offer scholarships to students with health problems or the affected students as a result of HIV victim parents. Also, there can be support through the offering of training to the potential health providers within the community. The training can be in the form of how to take care of the patients and how to manage the health situation at the community level. Another important initiative is on the funding of the research projects especially looking at the number of patients and how the remedies can be reached at. The health-related projects and research are some of the initiatives which can help in catering for the vulnerable members of the society. Besides, the Faith-Based Organizations can be of help in offering financial support to community-based health facilities.
