The water decision to change the source for water Flint Michigan sources from Lake Huron to Flint River was one that was not easy. There were many contributing factors to this issue that left many people devastated. The unhealthy and the increasingly polluted nature of the water source is the most significant reason behind the changes in the Flint water issue. The first step is for the government to bring up adequate penalties to all companies working in Michigan. The industrial effluents should not be directed to the water body, but instead recycled. By dealing with the multinational companies and controlling their activities, the government will be sure to attract public trust in its work towards restoring the water condition as it was initially. There was the emergence of Systematic racism issue that cropped up. The people of color were kept in the same Flint neighborhood while the whites were allowed into the suburbs (Cama, 2016). The government can regain public trust by allowing equality and fairness in dealing with the challenge fairly across the people of all races; relocating all of them to safer grounds away from the Flint River.

The ethical practices, primarily by the prominent industrialists like GM, in this case, would minimize the water pollution and therefore the reduced effect.
