Mobile forensic tools are used to connect the devices to the digital forensics so as to recover the digital information. Mobile forensics can be used to find criminals and can only be used on mobile devices such as the cell phones and tablets among others. However, the specifications used in the normal mobile phones are not appropriate to the iPhones. Mobile forensics for iPhones and iPod require specialised devices that are able to access them. In order to access the information, one ought to have the device physically. However, the model and version of iPod, iPod or the iPhone follow different levels and methodologies of support which can be obtained in the various support levels available. They include Logical (collection of dynamic data on the device), file system (collecting the folders and files), and physical level (collecting the image from the device’s memory) (Epifani & Stirparo, 2016). The table below examines different types of forensic tool devices that can be used in the iPhones and iPod, as well as their prices.

As an investigator for a small firm, I would recommend the iPhone analyser to other forensic devices for various reasons. The iPhone analyzer is advantageous because it is free in that there are no outgoing fees, and it has methodologies that help to get information from folders and files from the devices.
