It has been noted that females have low rates of engagement in all criminal activities except in prostitution. Statistics shows that this is very true in all countries for which data have ever been taken. The criminal rates are virtually pronounced for all racial and ethnic groups and every historical period. In the United States, for example, women constitute less than 20 percent of arrests for most categories of crime. It has also been observed that in most cases females are less involved in serious offense categories than their male counterparts, and thus commits less harm (do Rio Caldeira, 2000). The Women's acts of violence, compared to those of men, results in very few injuries and less serious injuries. Alternatively, property crimes usually involve less monetary loss and less property damage.
In my opinion, males are more violent than females duel to the nature of activities that they do. Most males do hard labor which results in the development of muscles and a lot of energy. The energy becomes very loose and thus can be converted into anything including the criminal activities. On the other hand, males being the head of families, they always do anything to make the family feel secure and protected both financially and physically. As a result of this, they will always do anything even if the act is very weird only to make their families happy and protected.

From the time immemorial, the societies normally judge a particular homestead by how aggressive the man of the family is. Most societies put more pressure on males than females since they are judged harshly by the society in case they fail to deliver their duties and responsibilities. As a result, men becomes most aggressive and consequently finding themselves in trouble with the laws of the land.
