Global supply chain management is a key integral section of any business system and greatly influences customer satisfaction and the success of the corporation. It entails a network of suppliers, warehouses, distribution points, manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers. Further, it incorporates several specialized facilitating systems, for instance, information systems and transportation. The global supply chain management alternative grows an understanding of the control, design and supply chain operation. In a business, supply chain managers are mandated to plan and analyses, manage, communicate and perform an inventory control of the business emperor. 

Supply chain managers are making a substantial difference in the current global markets. The success of a corporation is inextricably connected to how the supply chain performs. That, therefore, puts the supply chain manager in the spotlight. Firms that possess a well-performing supply chain attain revenues that are above the average within their businesses. How the supply chain is managed determines whether the business is going to stay for long, say five years, or not ( 7 Reasons Why the Supply Chain Matters to Business Success , 2018). A supply chain that is poorly performing greatly contributes to the failure of the business. The supply chain manager crafts some elements to them stand-out as a business in the universal market. That includes; a supply chain strategy and the close alignment between the general strategies of a business and those of the supply chain. That will enable the company to realize commercial objectives and thus consequently, the success of the corporate.

Also, the supply chain managers design the supply chain network. That assists in the effective flow of products and materials through every stage of the supply and achieving the goal. The supply chain managers further consider the profit of network design and optimization to ensure they reap the maximum benefits.
