One of the strengths that the assignment has is the correct identification of the factors and people that are more prone to head injuries for the family members. It clearly depicts that persons that are highly at risk of falls are those between 0-14 and beyond 65 years. The specific factors identified including: The older boy`s reckless behaviors such as fighting and using skateboards, the youngest boys use of crib and jungle gym when alone in the room, the inappropriate infrastructure for the grandmothers use and overall lack for safety measures in the house are some of the critical factors that can lead to head injuries in a home environment. .According to Brainline (2017), children aged 0 to 4 years, the older ones who are between 15 to 19 years and adults aged 65 and above are more susceptible to head injuries occurring from falls.

The work is lacking in detail the reason why helmets do not completely prevent the cases of head injury. While it is true that wearing them properly and at all times when playing prevents head injury in a big way, there are other factors that may reduce the efficacy of these preventive measures. According to Rush (2015), the main cause of inefficiency is not wearing the right helmets. For instance, the boys may have worn unfitting ones or using those that have had multiple impacts such that the foam material absorbs that shock has already been damaged(Rush, 2015).

Falls are the greatest contributors of traumatic head injuries among infants, adolescents and elderly people. Also, falls are likely to cause two types of injuries including: external and internal injuries. The external one involves the scalp only and, therefore, it may not lead to brain injury. The internal ones in contrast, may involve brain damage and may be associated with broken skull bone and torn blood vessels (Brainline, 2017). Other factors that may cause serious head injuries include: Being hit during motor vehicle accidents, falls from great heights and inflicted injury such as being shaken violently (Brainline, 2017).
