A fundamental focus of healthcare professionals is to improve patient outcomes. Healthcare professionals are required to implement processes of care continuously in spite of the changes in drugs, technologies, and regulations. This paper presents ways of implementing sustainable practices to achieve quality health care and improve patient outcomes.

Care organizations should have specialists in health information technology (HIT) to manage data on patient outcomes. This approach provides an enhanced way of analyzing organizational data and documenting notable performance gains in electronic medical records (EMRs), patient diagnostics, and patient satisfaction surveys. As a technological advancement tool, EMRs offer a perfect way of access to patient information, hence helping providers in the delivery of better quality of service (Alotaibi & Federico, 2017). The technology facilitates the evaluation of illnesses, improvement of diagnostic accuracies, treatment outcomes, wellness, and the full elimination of errors.

Improved patient diagnostics help in evaluating patient conditions with enhanced levels of accuracy. The approach lowers healthcare costs, reduces misdiagnosis, and improves patient outcomes (Bowles, Dykes, & Demiris, 2015). Notably, they serve as a guideline in streamlining patient recovery processes by helping in the identification of effective treatments. This strategy ensures that patients are receiving the best possible care irrespective of any foreseeable changes.

Patient satisfaction surveys help in creating initiatives of quality improvement, monitoring the performance of employees, and pinpointing service gaps. Healthcare centers can adopt standards and frameworks meant to give stakeholders ongoing and existent data about the performance status of the organization (Higgins et al., 2015). The technology can also serve as a guide in ensuring that there is compliance with the set universally set mandates.

Notably, HIT aspects can serve as standard measures in ensuring patients are getting the most appropriate care despite the need to implement newer technologies, drugs, and regulations. The evolution in modern practice environment will always follow specific practices to ascertain customized treatment plans for patients. Specialists in HIT will be essential in handling matters about patient outcomes shortly.
