I find it interesting how there is so much to be revealed when answering a health history form. This form should be treated with a lot of confidentiality as the full information about the patient/complaint is there. The examiner needs to assure the patient that their details are confidential and well taken care of. This has inspired me to join the health profession in the future where I can give great services to those who need it. I thought it would be boring to go through the health history and reviewing, but to my surprise, it was fascinating and educational to me. I learned a lot that I did not know needed to be done on a personal check-up visit. There are so many questions to be answered, and they should be answered honestly.
I have learned that as an examiner, it is important to be thorough with the question and make sure that you fill in the blank spaces with the correct information. It is also important to be keen on not making any mistakes in writing down the answers given by the patients. I have been to different hospitals for personal checkups, but I did not find it thorough as this one. I discovered that a good checkup needs a complete review of one’s background and lifestyle. I found this interesting as I have not witnessed it in any other health facility.

I am now more interested in working in a hospital facility if I can be able to change someone’s life by offering great services. I have also learned that trust and confidentiality between the examiner and the patients are crucial. My thought on the patient checkup has completely changed as now I will expect to get different services from the ones I was used to. I expect to get a complete review, with so many questions asked about my background and the different situation, I have been and if we have a history of different conditions in my family. The health history and the review have inspired me to pursue a career as a nurse, and hopefully, one day, I will work in a health facility.
