Description of the Health Care Organization 

UnitedHealth Group Incorporated is an American healthcare company with its headquarters in Minnetonka, Minnesota. This company engages in the provision of various healthcare products as well as insurance services. UnitedHealth Group Incorporated is operational in various states within the United States as well as around the globe as one of the healthcare companies with most customers and the most significant revenue (Ault, 2018). UnitedHealthcare Group Incorporated comprises of four divisions which include UnitedHealthcare Employer and Individual concerned with the provision of health benefit plans as well as services meant for large employers nationally. 

The second division involves UnitedHealthcare Medicare and Retirement, which focuses on the provision of well-being and healthcare services to people who are aged fifty years and more. The third division is the UnitedHealthcare Community and State which is involved in serving state programs that offer healthcare services to the medically underserved, economically disadvantaged, and people lack the benefits coming to the health coverage that is funded by employers. The fourth division is represented by UnitedHealthcare Global, which offers medical benefits to more than 6.2 million people residing in various countries around the world (Ault, 2018).

Description of the Organization's overall readiness 

UnitedHealth Group Incorporated's readiness entails a commitment to the provision of healthcare services through various platforms of health benefits. Such platforms include different strategies that share networks, systems, and a common brand that focuses on ensuring that customers are presented with more cost-effective and high-quality healthcare services at both local and international levels (McArdle, 2013). Besides, the readiness of this particular healthcare organization has previously been demonstrated through its efforts in making regular investments in the repurchasing of shares to boost the shareholder returns. This trend is expected to continue being experienced in subsequent quarters. 

The healthcare organizations are also involved in offering programs and plans that are designed with the intention of delivering the various healthcare needs of people in the community including those faced with risks of medical conditions, people living with a disability, the chronically ill, and those with social as well as behavioral conditions. To that extent, UnitedHealth Group Incorporated has managed to make a significant investment in all the necessary facilities, equipment, and personnel that would allow it to accomplish its mission and achieve in objectives (Ault, 2018). Further, UnitedHealthcare is well-prepared to undertake the distribution of resources among physicians, family, the government, various healthcare providers, as well as community-based organizations and agencies concerned with the facilitation of continuous care. 

Strategic Plan for the Organization 

Network growth 

The UnitedHealth Group Incorporated will be expected to be actively involved in the expansion of the network associated with its operations and delivery of healthcare services. Such growth and expansion of the network for this particular healthcare organization would be implemented as a way of responding to the fast-increasing need of healthcare services among people both within the local and international communities (Horak, 2016). In this respect, creativity and innovation would be expected to play a vital role in boosting the growth of the network in this healthcare organization in the sense that its personnel will have a broader scope of understanding and delivery of healthcare service to people with a wide range of health issue. 

Nurse staffing 

The issue of nurse staffing would be strategically addressed by the UnitedHealth Group Incorporated through the adoption of staffing policies and approach that places more emphasis on enhancing the efficiency of service provision (Williams, 2016). This healthcare organization would be expected to improve nurse staffing by ensuring that an adequate number of nurses are recruited and assigned tasks that are commensurate with their levels of qualification, skills, and experience. This strategy would play an important role in eliminating concerns of nurses and other healthcare workers being overworked. 

Resource management 

The consideration of resource management as one of the items in the strategic plan for the UnitedHealth Group Incorporated would be an effective way of enhancing performance and productivity in a more cost-effective manner (McArdle, 2013). Prudently managed and department of resource management within the operation of activities within this particular healthcare organization would assist in the elimination of loopholes and wastages commonly experienced during the utilization of resources. The organization would also be expected to adopt a fiscal policy that supports effective management and utilization of various resources. 

Patient satisfaction 

The achievement of higher levels of patient satisfaction by the UnitedHealth Group Incorporated would be mostly dependent on the commitment to strategic delivery of high-quality and cost-effective healthcare services. Besides, this healthcare organization would focus on the establishment of systems and mechanisms that support obtaining feedback from customers and working on addressing their concerns by making the necessary improvements (Horak, 2016). 

Potential Issues within the Organizational Culture that may affect aspects of the Strategic Plan 

Some of the potential cultural issues at the UnitedHealth Group Incorporated include a cultural shift coupled with emotional intelligence. A cultural shift in this healthcare organization may affect network growth as one of the aspects in its strategic plan by introducing some impediments to its ability to acquire additional branches (Williams, 2016). In this regard, thee employees may not be in a position to carry forward the organizational culture and sustain it while working in new environments with little or no support from leadership and management. Besides, the aspect of emotional intelligence would have a critical role to play in influencing a cultural shift in this particular organization (Horak, 2016). Further, resource management, which is another aspect of the strategic plan for UnitedHealth Group Incorporated, would be significantly affected by cultural shift and emotional intelligence. To that extent, resource management may not be effectively realized especially where more focus and attention is shifted to the management of emotional intelligence among employees as well as the evaluation of ways through which it would contribute to the experience of a cultural shift. 

The model that could be used to support the implementation of the Strategic Plan for this Organization 

A model that could be used in supporting the implementation of the strategic plan for the UnitedHealth Group Incorporated is the strategic alignment model. This model would be useful in assisting this particular healthcare organization to establish a strong alignment between the various elements of the strategic plan and the organization's objectives (McArdle, 2013). Besides, the alignment strategic model would support the implementation of the strategic plan developed for this healthcare organization in the sense that it would assist the management and various departments to focus on fine-tuning their broader objectives that may be difficult to attain within a specified duration (Williams, 2016). 

This model would be regarded as the best-suited for the implementation of the strategic planned identified and developed by this organization since it is large and more complex. Besides, this particular healthcare organization has the potential of experiencing several inefficiencies affecting its various departments owing to the issues of cultural shift and emotional intelligence. Besides, this model plays a notable role when it comes to the evaluation and correction of errors that may be identified in a strategic plan considering that it places more emphasis on establishing alignment between the strategies and organizational goals (Horak, 2016). This model also allows the planners to review the expected outcomes associated with the implementation of the strategic plan meant for UnitedHealth Group Incorporated as a global healthcare organization.
