The Babylonian thinks that they have a better civilization as compared to the Egyptian and Scythian. Several reasons are pointed out by the Babylonian to prove their stands. First, the Babylonian approves their stature by stating that their system of administration or governance is superior compared to those used by the Egyptians and the Scythians. He adds that their nation is endowed with great kings and an able army. With regards to the army, the Babylonian continues by boasting that they would emerge victorious in any war due to the resources they possess such as the numerous stallions and mares that can be used as during fighting.

The Babylonian continues by claiming that their civilization has been strengthened by their success in the field of Agriculture. Unlike the Egyptian and the Scythian, their country is blessed with good climate and rivers such as Euphrates and Tigris that promote the growth of corn. Other than good climate and the crops, the country is also endowed with minerals notably gold unlike the case in Egypt and Scythia where minerals are in insufficient quantities.

The Babylonian was also keen to mention some socio-cultural aspects that he thought elevated them to a superior position in comparison to his competitors. According to him, their culture has qualified physicians that are charged with taking care of the sick at the market places. When they lose a person through death, they bury them in honey. The Egyptians and Scythians do not practice all these customs, and hence the Babylonian feels that they have an edge regarding civilization.

Finally, the Babylonian was able to boast concerning their eating mannerism. Unlike his fellows who hail from bare and dry countries, they have several rivers where they could fish. Therefore, most of the time they ate fish which, according to them, as a sign of civilization and superiority over his counterparts.
