The difference between Mappa Mundi (map of the world) and the Ptolemaic map is that Mappa Mundi shows the world as a circular object even when it is primarily known to take a spherical shape following a religious view (HAK-SAENG, W. 2018). On the other hand, the Ptolemaic map describes the earth based on a description from a geographical book which explains the world from the Atlantic point of view starting from the west of China to the east of India. The map shows a representation of an unseen part of the world, which is an invisible ocean separating Europe from both India and China. Ptolemy map allows the world to be viewed from a geographical view, but Mappa Mundi sticks to a religious view (HAK-SAENG, W. 2018). Discovery of Ptolemy's map so important because there was the need for more accurate and detailed information about the world. After this map was invented, people saw the world more clearly and distinctively. I changed the meaning of the universe a circle, and it became clear that it was a sphere surrounded by a mass of water.

The conditions necessary to advance astronomical knowledge from Copernicus to Kepler to Newton include consistency, hard work and commitment (Tyson, 2018). During the 17th century, these conditions changed man’s thinking process. The development helped scholars understand the nature of man, and it helped them explain the nature of the world. These scholars overturned the authority in the classical world and brought a whole scientific revolution to the world (Tyson, 2018). The development took place through the vigorous debate between scientists, mathematicians, and philosophers.

Tesla and Edison were both great inventors because Tesla invented the alternating current system while Edison discovered the direct current electric power, which is both very essential in the world today (Edison vs. Tesla | Department of Energy. 2018). Edison, invented the light bulb and the world has used it in everything since its invention. He also developed an electric lighting program including generators, wires to transmit electricity and light fixtures such as sockets and switches. His invention has been utilized in almost all the projects of the world (Edison vs. Tesla | Department of Energy. 2018). On the other hand, Tesla used the work of Edison to give the world an AC. He invented wireless transmissions, smartphones-rays, and lasers among others. In line with this both are great inventors but had Edison not invented the direct current, it would have been impossible for Tesla to make his invention. Therefore my conclusion is that Edison was better.

Technology has shown the ability to change people’s lives as well as how they view the world for centuries. Inventions such as electricity, smartphones, light bulbs, airplanes and the internet are technological inventions, and their inventions have different ad impacts on human beings. I believe that there will be more technological inventions in the future and they will transform human lives in numerous ways. Although technological change can bring about adverse change, I believe that the positive outcomes will outweigh the negatives. For instance, I anticipate that in the next twenty years, its technology will make it possible to grow human organs in a lab and this will be very beneficial to human beings. I believe that technology will also make it possible to alter their DNA’s to produce smarter and healthier offspring. On the negative side, I think technology might make it possible for robots to have an IQ equivalent to that of a human being thus utterly degrading man.
