According to FBI 2018 crime statistics, Pennsylvania towns and cities topped in murder rates (Hasco, 2018) . The homicide rate is predicted by inequality more accurately than any other variable, clearly identifying as a poor economy being a major factor for rising homicide rates. This is also closely linked to rising gun ownership rates with economic inequality and a third major factor represented by cultural traits. Perceived insult wrongdoing is a major reason for homicide, much more than common factors such as theft, drugs, love affairs, domestic violence, or money . Self-worth depends on how one is treated by others, with perceived abuses remaining an imminent threat to individual esteem, which results in a drastic reaction to guard self-worth as a valuable personal possession.
The interest groups that could help tackle the problem are : moms demanding action in America for common sense , stronger gun control laws , the Brady Campaign and the Third Way think tank advocating to stop gun violence because by conducting public opinions, the institute will schedule an issue brief accordingly.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
A policy that would address the problem is stronger gun control laws. This policy solution addresses accessing guns, which are a major causative factor for high rates of homicide. This policy's strength is that immediate control in the number of homicides results from guns becoming mostly inaccessible. This policy's weakness is that it would require a strong implementation to be an effective army result in having a contradictory impact of gun trading becoming a flourishing illegal business as the guns will be a status symbol and will be portrayed as a power source to the gun owners
If this initiative were to reach the winners, all stakeholders would be impacted by the high homicide rate and the constant fear of gun culture. This policy could allow the interest groups and all the citizens to enjoy peace of mind. Gun manufacturers and retailers would be the biggest losers.
Providing free primary education at the grassroots level to create awareness and true self-worth and youth empowerment through education is another policy that would address the problem . The policy solution addresses the root cause of the problem rather than supporting the problem after the homicide has occurred. It is essential to analyze e the root cause and treat it for providing a permanent solution to improve the quality-of-life eradication of the factor, leading to high rates of homicide. This policy addresses all factors of cost axis and quality but over the long-term rather than the short term. The policy has major strengths in being effective for improving the economy's condition by empowering the people leading to advantages for all involved stakeholders. It addresses the problem for an absolute solution through root cause analysis rather than a cosmetic solution, which may or may not provide the desired result or served to achieve the required goal of controlling homicide rates.
The second policy is the best one, as explained. My approach is an example of radical change, which requires the introduction of strong measures to ensure absolute acceptance and implementation and adaptation to the change brought about by the policy by the main targeted stakeholders . It would help b y providing information on how the policy could help bring about radical changes in the condition and quality of life with the adoption of the change .
