My chosen city is Huston, Texas. With regards to the demographical data of the city, the community is highly diversified. According to research conducted in 2014, the population of the city composed of 38% non-Hispanic whites, while the Hispanic population was ranging approximately 36% of the total population (Fernandez, 2017) . Two-thirds of the remaining population was composed of blacks making two-thirds of the remaining population, with Asians taking the remaining 9%. With this kind of diversity, people are beginning to accept the diverse cultures as part of the complex metropolitan. Contrary to less than two centuries ago when the different ethnic groups only identified to themselves. This means that associations were limited to the people within common ethnical settings. At the time this diverted the communities further apart.

However, in contemporary Huston today, cultural and ethnic integration has brought the communities together through intermarriages, acceptance, and respect. In as much as this progress is beneficial in building peace and harmony within the city. It facilitates the loss of native cultures; the resultant norms are building a completely different kind of universal culture that is acceptable to all the communities because they have all contributed to the foundation of this new identity. The identity is leading to reduced birth rates, and people are limiting themselves to the number of children that they can manage, limiting the population growth rate as well. From the health perspective, the integration is important in the sense that it diverse genes are developed limiting the chances developing an outbreak that will affect the entire community. On the other hand, the limitation to birth rate not only affect the population growth, it as well affects the availability of patients that serve the purpose of opening leeway to developing the public health systems.
