1. The origin and progression of osteopathic medicine

Most drugs used today have clear origins and evolution when keenly traced. Osteopathic medicine is a unique form of therapeutic care established because body systems are interconnected and depend upon each other for survival. The philosophy was established in 1874 by Andrew Taylor Still. Dr. Still, a physician who was born in 1828 in Virginia, started the path to better treatment. He completed his first additional coursework in the early 1860s in Kansas City and proceeded to his surgery work at the Union Army during the Civil War. In 1864, Dr. Still concluded that mainstream medicinal practices of that time were frequently unsuccessful, especially after the demise of his three kids from spinal meningitis (Noy and Carlesso, 2020). Due to this reason, he devoted his ten years to studying the structure of the human body to develop better treatment.

2. What defines governing style, ruling class? People? Or natural environment? How does the relationship between government and nature tell us about China’s response to Covid-19? What can we learn from it?

The nature of a country largely affects the government and vice versa. These relationships affect how the country approaches different situations such as a pandemic. Whereas its laws define any nation's governing style, the ruling class is determined by either the country's laws or the people. The constitution defines any country's people, while all living and non-living things define the natural environment. The nature of the country determines the type of governance to be adopted. Economic stability defines the nature of a country. In comparison to most know nations, China has a stable and fast-growing economy. As a result of their stable economy, they have managed to control the Covid-19 pandemic successfully. A stable economy implies that there are enough medicines, facilities, and even health workers who are frequently motivated in their work. Better healthcare facilities in China enabled them to develop drugs and vaccines in the management of the pandemic. However, it is about time for China to implement robust measures to balance commercial and environmental interests to avoid other pandemics like Covid-19. The lesson learned from Chinas approach to the pandemic is the need to stabilize economies ( Khatri, & Zhu, 2020) . Any country to make achievements in health sector must first balance the economic activities and nature.
