I have worked as an intern in one of the companies dealing with event planning. This company had an excellent organizational culture. It defined how we should do things as well as embracing appropriate behaviors in various situations. For instance, all employees were expected to treat customers with respect. The rule was also clear that we interact positively with each other regardless of our backgrounds. Secondly, when hosting a significant event, we wore uniforms to make it easier for our clients to make any consultations. Further, our managers conducted a weekly meeting, and every employee was expected to attend. This meeting provided us with the opportunity and freedom to participate in decision-making and develop new ideas. It also helped in increasing cohesion between teams, thereby enhancing the overall organizational performance.

As a group member, I was aware of the organizational behavior in this company. For instance, even though we had team leaders who guided us on how to meet our objectives, every individual knew his or her duties. In this way, it was possible to work as team members and report to our leaders. That is, despite a hierarchical leadership in this company, we all focused on doing things right. Therefore, being aware of organizational behavior was valuable because it give employees insights on how to behave and perform at the workplace. It provided guidelines on what is wrong and right within the organization.

On a further note, one can effectively navigate an organization in regards to the behaviors of individuals and groups within it. In this case, a three-action plan is essential. Firstly, it will include assessing how individuals and groups are working together to achieve common objectives. Secondly, looking at how organizational processes are coordinating and controlling employees to enhance their performance is also recommendable. Thirdly, one should look at how organizational leadership facilitates communication and decision-making.
