These centers, in turn, are mandated to provide affordable healthcare services to patients. Secondly, IT has improved the patients' outcomes. IT has ensured that diseases are correctly diagnosed and effective treatment is administered to patients. This has resulted in decreased mortality rate and high life expectancy. Third, IT has increased access to healthcare services. Patients living in rural areas can acquire healthcare services, thanks to IT. Through the telehealth services, healthcare professionals are able to attend to patients in remote areas.
