The modern world is ever dynamic, and this is forcing people to constantly adapt to new things. There is a constant demand for new things and new ways to carry out various activities. It is at this point that research is important for society, as, without it, these demands would go unfulfilled. Research enables the human race to explore new things and get farther, and this makes it a product of curiosity. Without research, the society would remain stagnant and thus fall flat.
One important consideration during research is ensuring one gets informed consent from the participants. Informed consent ensures that the participants have willingly agreed to become part of the study (Nijhawan et al., 2013). The respondents will also have agreed for their data and information provided to be used, and thus they cannot sue the researchers.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
An example of research I carried out is gender equality in mass media. The research involved studying the different roles men and women get in the top-rated Hollywood films including other television programs. From the study, it was evident that gender inequality in mass media is still rampant, as women are still not getting leading roles in top-rated films.
Data and information are used in carrying out various analytic procedures at the workplace. This is used form measuring sales to optimizing various marketing campaigns. Data and information are important, as it will help in understanding success. The data and information are also used in making various financial decisions regarding investments in the workplace.
The most common data I gather is related to my financial spending. I have been collecting as much data related to my finance from bank statements, daily spending and other miscellaneous costs for two years now. This data has helped me in drawing meaningful insights that have made me make better personal finance use decisions.
