Persons with advanced education are prospective to get better-paying jobs than people with a high school degree and college diploma. Higher education increases an individual’s earning potential. Such people get better-paying jobs, have better working conditions, pay higher taxes, are guaranteed of employment benefits like health insurance and retirement benefits ("College Education Linked to Higher Pay, Job Security, Healthier Behaviors and More Civic Involvement: New College Board Report," 2017). People with more education like a bachelor’s degree and so on, are at a higher chance of moving up the socioeconomic scale and are unlikely to depend on public help.

Even though more education means higher incomes, career path also influences an individual’s earnings. The demand for certain career paths, climate conditions, and job location can influence what employers are offering to pay. For example, a plumber who lives in North Carolina gets an average of $42,530 per year, while a plumber in New Jersey earns about $69,360 annually (DOYLE, 2019). Hence, the economic state of a particular region may determine whether the costs associated with a college or university degree are worth it.

The advanced the level of education, the greater the chance of employment and better earnings. Income increases with the level of education, thus, a decrease in unemployment. People with further education and skills have higher incomes and insignificant rates of unemployment compared to people with no or just minimal education (Vilorio, 2016). It is easier and more likely for a person with a university degree to get a job compared to one with a high school education or no education at all. Higher education levels somehow guarantee people employment. Individuals with a high school degree or less, form the highest percentage of unemployed people, followed by those with college degrees (Vilorio, 2016). Therefore, the more the education an individual has, the lower the chance of facing unemployment.
