A mock interview is aimed at providing the people involved with the platform to train and sharpen their interviewing skills in an environment that is created to copy that of a real interview.
My first impression in the mock interview was aimed at creating a good picture of my personality to the interviewers. I presented myself on the platform in style, well groomed and appropriately dressed. My colleagues marveled at my code of conduct during the process. I would rate myself at 99% in physical appearance and presentation.

In the interview process, I was able to respond to most of the questions articulately. I was able to express my skills and experiences, and I was also able to defend my certificates after I was offered a practical opportunity to prove myself. However, I was not able to express my personality to the best way possible. I was especially dumbfounded when I was asked to show the reasons why I was attracted to that company and not its competitors. I had an inbuilt passion to work with them, but I lacked the words to express myself out. I felt I needed to work more on my skills to express my personality. I needed to improve on them very much.
The interviewers wanted to know my technical skills. They asked for me to prove to them that I was the real person my papers ware showing of me. I feel this was my best-answered question. I was able to convince the interviewing team that I was the best person for the job. I was also able to pass their technical test. I also got the satisfaction and conviction that I had presented myself to my best in this area. I was also able to convince the interviewing panel that I could work under intense pressure and meet strict deadlines. I also managed to make them believe in my abilities to help the company grow to greater heights while serving at the technical department. I convinced them of my ability to balance multiple projects such that I can meet different set targets on required deadlines
It was a shocker to me that I could not express myself to my best. I was particularly surprised that the vigor with which I thought I had in showing my personality faded away just in front of the panel. I fumbled I telling what I thought I knew best. Another issue that got me shocked was when I was asked to suggest a salary for myself. I thought the company had standard wages set for employees at different levels. I was not prepared for this topic, and so I was not equipped with a ready answer for it.
There are quite some changes I would make in the subsequent interviews such as my way of expressing my personality. This is a critical area that is likely to repeat itself in any subsequent interviews. I, therefore, have to improve on it so that I perform better in my next interview. I also felt challenged when asked to recommend pay for myself. I have to rehearse on how I would handle that area in future discussions. It was my first video interview. It was not the best, and it did not meet my expectations. It means I have to work on my communication skills.
