Leadership skills are developed through everyday actions and practices to improve efficacy on the mode of guidance offered to the group through the establishment of a clear vision, sharing the vision with the group, providing relevant information, knowledge, and methods that lead to achieving the set goal. High School has been the best platform for me to enhance my skills in leadership and understand what it entails to be a leader. For the four years in the high school football team, my coach taught me the necessary drills needed to keep the team together and focused on achieving the set goal. I was the leader of a group of twenty-eight players through an intense, almost military drills training, and in case I did not lead my team to successful victory, I would answer for the rest of the team. This was the best way of learning the essentials of teamwork.
Apart from my football career in high school, I value nature, and I am devoted to keeping it clean. Safeguarding the environment is the best way to secure the future of the next generations. As a member of the Keep Mansfield Clean Organization, we have engaged in organizing and initiating events that aid in keeping our region clean and tidy. I am looking forward to pursuing an Electrical Engineering course at Texas A&M University and later join the military school and devote my life to serving our great nation. Building on my career and serving our nation through military training is my definition of achievement in life. Also, there is not any other method of improving leadership skills best if not in military school. Thus, I am determined and focused on achieving my big goals.
