In contemporary organizations, creativity and innovation are critical organizational tools. In a transformational organization, there are two major types of improvements; incremental and radical improvements. Incremental improvement refers to a process aimed at making modifications to products through minor and simple changes (Beck et al., 2016) . Incremental improvement takes place over a long period of time. In a manufacturing organization, incremental improvements could comprise activities such as improving computer efficiency through the installation of computer software. On the other hand, the radical improvement comprises a significant from the fundamental norms, culture, practices and products of a company. Radical improvement is time-consuming and expensive. 

There are several associated with lack of innovation and creativity in a manufacturing organization. A decline in productivity comprises one of the risks. Organizations with limitations in innovation and creativity exhibit declining productivity since employees in the organization are not free to explore new ideas and innovative ideas in the execution of their assignments (Nakato & Wechsler, 2018) . Lack of creativity makes the process of solving problems in the organizations complex. Manufacturing organizations risk losing their competitive edge due to lack of innovation and creativity.

Creativity and innovation are critical in manufacturing organizations, and organizational managers must cultivate a culture of innovation through various approaches. Organizational managers need to ensure an environment where innovation and creativity are encouraged at the workplace through practices such as rewarding and celebrating new and great ideas (Ahmad et al., 2020) . The employees in the organization should be provided with adequate techniques and tools to enable them to cope with emerging new ideas. Managers can also create a culture of innovation in manufacturing through ensuring that employees and the organizational stakeholders are informed and aware of the organization’s mission, vision, products and services. 

Creativity and innovations in manufacturing organizations enable organizations to increase their productivity while increasing their competitive edge. Managers need to cultivate a culture that encourages creativity from all the stakeholders in the organization.
