Agile proficiency is the most preferred leadership strategy as it requires project owners, facilitators, and workers to be quick, efficient, and fast particularly when responding to significant issues that affect the entire business process. In a rapidly changing business environment, agility is necessary and fundamental when responding to changes and shifts in market dynamics (Liu, 2016). As technology advances and the maintenance of public health becomes essential, healthcare organizations are rapidly replacing their conventional operating systems with EHRs and another complex Information Systems ( Mohamadali & Ab Aziz, 2017). Therefore, business executives and employees have to respond faster to the change to ensure that daily operations of attending to patients are not interfered with.
In this case, agility means quickly letting go of a non-effective strategy and replacing it with an effective process. Therefore, leaders should first explain the process of change and the niche the HER is expected to fil. Employees need to understand the benefits of the system over the other while being included in the process from the very beginning. Inclusion encourages acceptance and less resistance to change from the hospital staff. Both leaders and employees should be quick to respond to the change instead of wasting time. Training would then be frequently done to increase familiarity and be at par with current changes in the system. An agile strategy would translate to a higher rate of success since it wastes no time and responds appropriately to market dynamics ( Glaser, 2016) . Healthcare organizations applying the strategy would be better positioned to request reimbursements from insurance providers. EHR would also reduce the burden of paperwork, save on time, and give more time to patients. Agility is a key factor in businesses due to the increased uncertainties and the constantly evolving market conditions.
