Piaget’s theory is an important tool that can be used to shape a child in the process of his/her growth in as far as nutrition and healthy eating or child rearing are concerned. This is because the theory well illustrates the need for the early education of a child as they later assume the habits learned at their tender age or rather the cognitive stage as explained by the Piaget’s theory (Başkale, Bahar, Başer & Ari, 2009). Therefore, Piaget’s theory can be conceptually be used as a study regarding preschoolers as this is the stage that the children pick up the habits that later use at their later ages and become their life in general.

Therefore, following the description of Piaget’s theory can serve as a framework in the introduction of a child to his/her lifestyle (Başkale, Bahar, Başer & Ari, 2009). This is evident in the Piaget’s explanation of the fact that children get to practice or exercise what they observe or pick up as habits in their process of growing up. Nutrition is a basic need in the day to day lives and in fact, a basic one, Piaget’s theory would be very crucial if used to ensure a healthy life of a child and his/her later life (Locsin, 2017) . Piaget’s theory most importantly describes and outlines or rather makes it easy to understand the step by step growth of a child and as such apply measures that best suit the child-specific growth and behavior. It groups the child development in stages and therefore it would be most appropriate and advisable to use in general child rearing especially the preschool children (Ray, 2012).

Dorothea Orem self-care deficit theory is majorly concerned with the patient’s importance in progressing responsibly with self-care for the sustenance of life and health or alternative recover from an injury or decease ( Source, Kizilci & Ergor, 2017) . That being said, in the Surucu study whose aim was to examine the ramification of diabetes education build on the self-care deficit nursing theory (SCDNT), it was found that self-care has a significant effect on the recovery process. There were differences that were witnessed following the groups that were used in the study and the results indicated that self-care is crucial in one’s recovery or looking after the sick ( Surucu, Kizilci & Ergor, 2017) . The theory was found to improve and sustain life as it improved the glycemic control for individuals who were on the self-care intervention group. The theory was found to be a good guide and framework in the planning and life sustenance.

In the modern world, technology cannot be overlooked. It has become essential in so many professions nursing being one of them. Competency in nursing being the essential abilities needed to fulfill one’s duty as a nurse, it is important to note that technology plays a very important role in dealing with the changing diseases structure (Kumar, 2007) . It would be important to know that the most important role in nursing is caring and that cannot be substituted or replaced for anything else. That being said, technical competency AS caring would simply mean relying on technology to care for patients in which case the aspect of nursing would be ruled out basically (Locsin, 2017) . The idea of nursing is prioritizing the care for the patients.

On the other hand, technical competency in caring would mean the use of technology to assist in caring for patients. The most basic and right thing to do in as far as nursing is concerned is to first prioritize the basic training the use aiding methods in caring for the patients and maybe bettering the provision of that care (She, Li & Patrick Rau, 2015) . It would, therefore, be more appropriate to use technical competency IN caring instead of using it AS care since it would first provide the care then use assistive means to provide the needed care.
