Graduating from nursing school is a critical step in achieving a license to become a Registered Nurse. For nurses to become officially registered, they must pass the NCLEX. Passing the NCLEX requires adequate planning and preparation to pass it successfully.
The strategies that I intend to apply to ensure I pass the NCLEX exams include having adequate time to study, creating a study plan, and carrying out self-assessment. The first thing I have to do to succeed on the NCLEX include ensuring I have adequate time to study. I would list down the topics I need to read in every session and allocate myself a specific time to study every topic. Monroe (2019) indicates that having a comfortable space to study will allow me to have an adequate understanding of the nursing content.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
The second thing I would do is create an NCLEX study plan. According to Monroe (2019), the study plan enhances positive relations with the test resources and minimizes stress levels. This will involve setting goals for every session of study, such as finishing a specific number of practices or completing a practice test.
The third thing would involve conducting a self-assessment. The assessment would include examining if I have a good comprehension of the nursing content. Also, I will examine my ability to handle every test question confidently. Furthermore, I would assess my ability to think outside the box if I am not sure of the answer to identify possible options and choose the right answer.
The two things that I could do to succeed on the NCLEX include managing the test anxiety and knowing my style of study. To manage the anxiety effectively, I would implement the following strategies; balancing my personal work and studying life effectively, having a regular sleep, and conducting regular exercises that will improve my thinking skills and memory. Another thing that I would do is to have an understanding of my style of study. I tend to understand the information well with visualization of content. According to Doyle, Harper, Burke & Eiswirth (2019), one of the study styles that work on NCLEX include, creating an image regarding the scenario in my mind, rephrasing the question to determine exactly what each item is asking, and using the answer options provided to serve as clues of the topic while excluding the wrong answers.
I chose these items because I believe they are the most critical strategies that will offer me significant guidelines when tackling the NCLEX tests. They will provide me with ease when preparing, thus allowing me to pass the NCLEX exam successfully.
