It is undoubtedly every individual's dream to become successful in life, make a career they love and have a passion for, and be able to earn a living. To achieve all this, one has to work hard and, most importantly, be wise in what you're doing and make plans on what you want to do. One has to be strategic and make intelligent decisions that will favour the future of their career.
My Mission Statement would be "To live a God-centered life based on my values of honesty, service to others, success, and integrity." My elevator pitch would need to be non-scripted and based on my principles. I would rather trust my gut instincts when it comes to approaching a potential future employer. If the opportunity arose, I would have a thorough understanding of the business and understand what qualities I am supposed to bring to the table and how working there would help me succeed, lead, and contribute to the company's potential development . Different strategies can be used to make career plans, and they will also help one make important decisions about their career.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
One of the strategies is; choosing your work strategically, which involves looking for internships, beginning to select jobs, volunteering toward your dream job ( Bakker & Leiter, 2017). The strategy will help me be aware of my dream job, what is required of it, and what goes on in that particular field. When individual volunteers in places that involve their dream career, they can have experience, and once they start working in the future, it will not be so hard for them. Volunteering may also work well on the job application in an organization. It also applies in the internships. These internships will also help acquire more knowledge on the job, evaluate the position, and know the requirements that should be met.
The main point in this strategy is to try and move on to my professional goals and get to know people in that line of work to guide me. I can also start a part-time job that also entails my dream job, join clubs that help professionally. While doing all this, an individual acquires the practical experience required and attracts as many employers as possible. Doing all this pays off while looking for a job as I will have known what I want, where to apply for the job, what is required of me, and my skills level, which eases the application process and increases the chances of getting hired.
The other strategy that I may apply is finding a mentor. A mentor has more knowledge and professional experiences who is willing to share information about the field and give practical advice ( Ayoobzadeh and Boies, 2020) . A mentor should guide one in making professional decisions, give new contacts, and make sure that they share what the job entails, what it requires, and how one can be their best in the position. On the other hand, my part is to utilize the mentor's availability to the maximum by asking relevant questions, making notes, and heeding the given advice. The mentor will play a critical role in finding a job through their recommendations, making introductions, and providing a good reference in the job application. Mentors are important because they can also introduce you to colleagues who may help out while you need a job.
In conclusion, getting to be on your toes is important, especially when it comes to my career, which is essential. This should be done early to prepare for the future of obtaining your career goals. Being smart about it too is vital, and also showing determination will help out as well. Many people fail in what they do or their mission by not preparing and planning for it. Making an effort in your professional goals indeed pays.
