Addiction is when someone cannot stop taking something even if they want to. In this situation, the urges are usually too strong and can cause harm to individuals. Addiction is a topic chosen, and, in this case, the decision is purely based on drug addiction. Currently, drug addiction affects more than half the youth population in many countries, and anyone addicted will do anything to get those drugs ( Nestler & Lüscher 2015 ). Besides, addiction results in a tone of problems. For instance, one can be arrested, and it causes family problems, suicidal thoughts, and many others. Also, most of the people who are addicted tend to be defensive and can even inflict harm to themselves and their loved ones. In the beginning, drug intake is usually a choice to a higher percentage of people, but when one keeps using drugs, controlling oneself becomes an issue. In line with Bickel et al. (2019), scientists all over have conducted research to identify how drugs affect our thinking capacity and lead to impaired judgments.

Additionally, people who are addicted get urges even after stopping, which makes them vulnerable. According to Heinz et al. (2020), triggers are basic stuff, feelings, stress, scent, places, and many others. Despite the government’s effort to build enough rehabilitation facilities, youths still have high numbers of addiction cases. Also, mental health problems such as depression, anxiety contribute to addiction issues. To solve addiction problems, it is essential to consider how everyone’s body reacts to drugs ( Orlova et al. 2019) . Besides, people who stick to treatment have a higher Percentage probability of getting better and changing their lives. Even though it is hard to commit to treatment programs, recovery from addiction means that one has to stay away from drugs. If possible, anyone needs to restrain from taking drugs because addiction is something that takes too much from its victims ( Marcovitz et al. 2020) . Furthermore, all bodies responsible for drug use regulations and mitigation procedures for illegal drug sales should take the necessary precautions to prevent excessive use of drugs and addictions.
