In the contemporary times, the number of teenagers involved in drug use has augmented according to the National Institute on Drug Abuse. Teens offer hope for the future in families, societies and nation at large and, therefore, all concerned stakeholders have to support and initiate moves that can help those with drugs use and abuse challenges as well as empower others not using drugs to stay positive and make informed decisions. However, this paper talks about sobriety in teens and how the “full circle” group has helped address the issue of drugs.
Sobriety in teens is a major concern for many institutions, and Blue Valley High School is no exemption. Many teenagers in high school experience challenges related to drugs use and abuse that include alcohol and marijuana among others. Many organizations such as "Full circle" group among others have been formed to help empower the teens with information on the best possible ways that they can stay sober from the temptations of engaging in drugs use. Many agree that teenagers experience not only physical body changes but also psychological. And, therefore, such experiences make them vulnerable as they try to explore into unknown territories and waters of life that might include drugs use due to peer pressure. Teens experiencing sobriety challenges, and thus, have to be helped unconditionally and not stereotyped in the society to enable them to make an informed decision and positive changes that help them overcome drugs challenges.

The “Full Circle” group has helped in addressing the sobriety challenges in society in a number of ways. The group leaders go to schools and create the sobriety clubs that help empower teens with information about positive living by the principal and help people stay sober. It designs a program that helps people gradually change and live positively by going through the process and its stages. Moreover, it offers counseling training to learners and people interested in counseling drug users and families going through difficult times. The group gives a metal ball to starters who after 30 days of completion of the program a yarn necklace is added. It commemorates the first stage, and it is described as an Iron Fist . Finally, the group has created a network of counselors and those counseled on sobriety challenges that have allowed for monitoring of progress and their programs.
In conclusion, staying sober is a noble idea that has to be supported by all not only among teenagers but also adults with sobriety challenges. The example offered by “Full Circle” group should be emulated in other places to help people with sobriety challenges stay and live positively. Other means should also be used that prove to be effective in the different places.
