Most less developed countries in Africa, Asia, and South America are not able to provide quality medical and health services to their citizens. It is because of various reasons. However, the major reason is the lack of resources both in monetary terms and experienced human capital to invent the medicines. Most of the governments in these less developed countries are not able to finance their few researchers in the field of medicine. As a result of this, the developed countries have continuously taken advantage of this inability and exploited the less developed countries. This has left the people of less developed countries to receive drugs that are not effective or substandard from countries like the U.S. and other economically developed European countries.

It is inhuman when one knowingly gives the wrong medicine to the patient. This has happened for a while, and many instances have revealed that the less developed countries have been receiving less effective drugs from the developed countries, for instance, the USA and Europe. The other point to note is that these countries have used the people in less developed countries for trials as they are doing research. It is a good indicator that the less developed countries are given less effective medicine. One would ask, why should they not test the medicine with their citizens first? Is it that the citizens of the less developed countries are of less value?

All these happen because the less developed countries are not capable of sustaining themselves; they have to seek assistance always from the developed countries. Perhaps that is the cost attached to depending on other countries. Between the years 1999 and 2014, the sales of opioid drugs increased by a large margin despite its known side effects. The manufacturers of this drug, intentionally mislead the public, they marketed it as less addictive contrary to reality. It improved their profits and increased deaths as a result of the strong negative effects of this drug.

The users had fewer options since the majority of them were addicted, and therefore they had to use this drug. It is a good example were America took advantage of the poor and addicts in the country. Shockingly enough, the owner of the oxycontin opted out and started a rehabilitation facility. Then one would ask, why create a problem, benefit from the problem then, later on, provide a solution to a problem you created? One can then conclude that is all about making profits and not caring about humanity.

In past decades we have seen repel of the eugenic and racial science in most parts of the world. This shades rays of hope that in the near future, the whole world is going to raise and protest against the abuse of humanity and taking advantage of the poor or less informed people. Canada, for instance, had a long history of cugenics and racial science until it was repelled when it was confirmed that it had more negative effects than good. In this spirit, and the spirit of humanity, it is good that we shun the habit of taking advantage of the less informed or the poor for a monetary gain or any other interest. Therefore the eugenics, racial science, supply of less effective, and use of human for testing drugs is getting to an end and will not have space anymore. The world is getting informed, and those perceived to be less of human beings are now informed about their rights and are enjoying support from various international organizations.
