Role: Chief of Police
As a chief of police, some of the issues that I am going to investigate include:
Racial Unrest : There have been growing protests from the black community in recent years. These residents complain that the police unit discriminates against them, and they use excessive and unnecessary force, particularly on young black men. Further investigations should be conducted to Kayla’s case, which implicates Dr. Clausen and Officer Iozzi.
Unemployment and Hiring Concerns
The unemployment rate in Courtelaney Pass is 8.7%. Employment should also be based on merit and not a race. I will get to the root cause of employment not spanning across all races and establish reasons for relegating the ‘blue-collar’ jobs to the minority groups before instructing for employment reforms.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
Dispose of Bad Policy and Make New Policies
Police reforms are necessary since the policies regarding hiring in the police department in Courtelaney Pass are biased. The police department is not representative of the CP community since 94 percent of the department is white which further cements the racial unrest in the area. Education reforms are also a priority, especially to counteract the current dropout cases, keep more kids in schools, and improve the performance. Traffic reforms are necessary, especially with reports that the speeding tickets are mostly offered to blacks and out of town travelers.
Hiring, Firing, Demoting, and Promoting
The entire police department needs a complete overhaul since the current team is comfortable with the status quo, and they are hardly doing anything to address the current issues in the city. At 35%, the crime rate in the city is significantly high. A team to apprehend the local drug dealers and the MS13 gangsters who are involved in robbery and rape cases in the community should be put in place immediately. The current CP Police Sergeant in charge of street crimes should be fired.
