Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) has continuously been included as an alternative health care practise since to assist patients deal with chronic diseases and conditions. The inclusion, therefore, is essential as it allows patients to preferably choose a complementary plan of treatment other than entirely relying on the alternative process (Karen Lee Fontaine RN, 2014). When integrated with the conventional therapies, CAM becomes more exclusive in treating whatever illness a patient is suffering from.
Research by Karen Lee Fontaine RN (2014), showed that many governments had amended the Medicines and Related Substances Act. The act was brought forth to officially recognize the registration of the use of CAM health care practices by the Allied Health Professions Council. Hence, fully incorporating the CAM health care practices would ensure that efficacy, safety and quality medical studies are available and perfectly regulated (Mbamalu & Hughes, 2015). Any potential side-effects of the CAM health care practices would, therefore, be made aware to the medical researchers and a new study carried out to bring forth amicable solutions.

As a nurse, I would help improve the implementation of population-based nursing by establishing new partnerships across the public and primary care sectors so that new healthcare organizations can be in a better position to address the needs of the local populations to improve their health incomes. Affordable Care Act has developed the face of Insurance coverage of the practices through providing quite affordable platforms through which the low-income earner patients can apply and have access to better quality healthcare practices (Abuelgasim et al., 2018). Such eventually improve the evidence-based practices as researchers can now gather more and new information that would help new and more improved patient outcomes.
