The Boston Bombing took place on 15th April 2015 when two pressure-cooker bombs were kept close to the finish line during the marathon. The bombs went off at intervals of exactly eleven seconds. There were three individuals who died instantly, and more than 260 people were seriously injured. The bombing took place at two-forty nine pm. A large number of runners, more than five thousand six hundred were still running as the race was yet to be over. The major suspects in the Boston bombing were DZhoskar and Tamerlan. The two individuals had migrated to America from Kyrgyzstan with their parents Anzor and Zubeidat Tsarnaev. The two suspects were brothers and DZhokhar moved to the United States in the year 2002, and later he received an immigration benefit and summoned the rest of his family members. Later in the year 2004, all the family members became registered citizens and permanent residents in America (Press, 2015).
Tarmelan and Zubeidat had received the attention of the Federal Bureau of Investigation two years before the Boston Marathon. It happened after the Russian FSB gave the FBI concerning the two brothers and indicated that they were associated with Islamic radicalization. According to the information disbursed, Tarmelan and Zubeidat advocated for radical Islam, and Tarmelan was said that he had planned of migrating to Russia where he would join an unrecognized covert group in Dagestan and Chechnya, two identified Muslim provinces. The information also stated that Tarmelan was planning to use the name Tsarni. The personal data concerning the two brothers that were given by the Russian intelligence service was the telephone contacts and email addresses (McPhee, 2017). The Russian intelligence, on the other hand, was to receive information on the travel plans of the older brother to Russia. The FBI branch in Moscow sent a letter to the FSB on March 9th, 2011 requesting them on regular updates on the developing case of the two suspects. A copy of the letter was also received by the FBI Boston Field Division and FBI Counterterrorism Division. The Boston branch received information from the letter, and they were to investigate the two brothers though more attention was given to Tamerlan who appeared more aggressive. Agent CT from the FBI department was assigned the case, and his duty was to evaluate the entire family of the suspects. The discovered information was kept among the confidential files of FBI. He moved to the two Muslim provinces where the most of his time and no more investigations were done on him. When he moved to Russia, the CT Agent was notified by the Russian department that the suspect had landed in the airport. In July, the same year Tamerlan moved back to America after his travel wait was approved. There were speculations that the Russian agent notified the CT Agent so that he could delay the flight, though it took place at last. However, the closing of the investigation gave a chance to Tamerlan and his brother to stage the bombing at Boston marathon.
