The world is comprised of various people who are drawn from various languages, races, religions and cultures which tend to create quite a diverse population which in turn leads to communication barriers. The barriers are strengthened in the event that all these people meet at one time or the other especially in the learning institutions and work places a situation that is usually inevitable. These communications barriers are usually attributed to various reasons that largely emanate from the cultural differences in terms of how each cultural group views certain aspects in their lives. The most common aspects causing the intercultural communication barriers are language differences, negative stereotypes and prejudices, value of time, feelings and emotions, level of context as well as body language (Farnen, 2017).
Barriers that would keep other countries from having an accurate perception of the United States

The Americans just like all the other cultures have unique way of doing things, language and perception of various concepts in life. As such these differences tend to set them apart from people around the world which can in turn affect how they perceive others or how others perceive them. These differences are further enhanced by the fact that other people view them in high regard considering their economic and cultural influences making them a reference point for the whole world. The American English which is used as a standard in speaking or writing may keep off others whose English may be considered broken and inferior creating prejudices against such. As a result an individual may be put off by the Americans simply because he or she does not meet the standard threshold of speaking in English. Additionally, the Americans are well known for punctuality and, meeting deadlines which are not the case with people from other cultures. (Farnen, 2017) If one fails to meet such tight deadlines and schedules it would trigger a set of negative reactions which would eventually jeopardize the positive relationship that was there previously.
How these barriers can affect ones world view
The barriers that exist in various societies across the world may affect ones world view in that he or she can feel inferior or superior as compared to others. The differences in language for example work negatively by stereotyping people from around the world with some languages considered superior over others as such individuals are forced to go an extra mile to perfect their language so that it can meet the standard criteria. These barriers also work by dividing people across races, religion and geographically making others superior and others inferior meaning that the world will never be at the same level.
