Answer: I operate as a circulating nurse. I also work as an assistant manager for the urology service in our OR.

Answer: Professionalism is observing personal standards and values in conjunction with the requirements of working environment. Nonetheless, it is the ability to work with empathy, competency, consideration, and integrity.

3. How does professional responsibility influence your work? 

Answer: it is important to note that, professionalism is linked to personal appearance. This implies that an individual grooms in a way that portrays the values of the hospital or the organization working with. Individuals make judgments according to the way one appears, and if a person seems to be untidy or sloppy, the patient may not be comfortable allowing the medical practitioner take care of him or her. My professional duty and priority are to my patients. I am supposed to be their advocate and safeguard them from any danger. Consequently, in the same weight, I also have the task to adhere to the standards and values of the hospital I work for. In that, it helps me to make good decisions as well as providing ethics that I apply to my personal service. It implies that I will not speak ill of my employer or its policies to my patient regardless of whether am in agreement or not. 

4. Do you consider yourself a steward of health care? Why or Why not? 

Answer: Yes I do. Stewardship implies that one has to apply Godly doctrines when managing environs. In the health setting, stewardship is the act of treating for the well recovery of the patient professionally and the needs of the staff. As a steward of health, I am expected to manage the needs of the patient with caution in the best interest of the patient. According to me, being a steward is the heart of nursing, both in leadership and patient care. 

5. Is it important to you that leaders exercise professional advocacy and authenticity? (6) As well as power and influence when working with colleagues? Why or why not? 

Leaders should have the ability to combine advocacy and authenticity with power and influence in a manner that will inspire other members to work with the highest standards. Leadership requires one to influence through remaining authentic and work with others on a universal stand towards change. 

Summary of the Interview 

The interviewee presented himself as a circulating nurse who also operates as the assistant manager of the urology service. Feedback from the healthcare practitioner is a presentation of an employee showing professionalism in healthcare department. The healthcare member knows his responsibilities in the hospital. The core principle ethics in any professionalism is having a complete knowledge of responsibilities and duties (Fagermoen, 1997). 

The respondent defined professionalism as abiding by standards and values of the job environment. He further indicates that professionalism is the ability to carry out tasks with competency and integrity consideration. The interviewee acknowledges that professionalism in an organization involves carrying out responsibilities in a way that adheres to organizations believes and values (Fagermoen, 1997). He also described how the physical representation of the staff plays a significant role in creating the image of the institution to the public. 

The health worker has his suggestion that leaders of healthcare should be stewards of health care. This is because when the leaders are stewards, they can carefully point out the needs of the patients as far as the environment is also considered. He further states that leaders should handle the staff needs and grievances. Therefore, stewardship is significant both in patient care and leadership.
