Based on the in-depth analysis conducted in the previous reports, it is clear that InVision Human Services is facing a key challenge attributed to compassion fatigue and staff burnout, which is affecting the capacity for nurses to deliver positive results. From that perspective, it is important to develop a clear-cut platform to ensure that nurses working within the facility are accorded effective strategies that would allow them to deal with stress and compassion fatigue. In this report, the focus is on recommendation for training programs that would ensure that nurses working within InVision Human Services are well positioned towards understanding relaxation techniques, how to reduce stress, recognizing compassion fatigue, and being mindful of one’s own stressors. 

Literature Review 

A review of literature suggests that cases of burnout in nurses affect their productivity significantly as it becomes challenging for them to deliver the expected quality of health care services due to fatigue. Manzano-García and Ayala (2017) argue that a lack of effective stress management mechanisms for majority of nurses creates a situation where most nurses find themselves experiencing compassion fatigue, which translates to burnout. Burnout in nurses creates a situation where it becomes challenging to work based on their set out expectations. Fida, Laschinger, and Leiter (2018) indicate that this issue results in poor performance as the nurses lack the expected capacity allowing them to concentrate within the health care environment. Thus, this seeks to highlight the importance of having to deal with cases of burnout in nurses beforehand as a way of preventing poor performance in their handling of patients within the health care environment.

Burnout in situations where nurses tend to experience reduced satisfaction levels with regard to their expected performance outcome. Kandelman, Mazars, and Levy (2018) indicate that poor satisfaction levels among nurses act as one of the contributing factors to poor quality of health services offered taking into account that majority of nurses would find themselves lacking stress management mechanisms. From that perspective, it is clear that health care institutions have to adopt effective mechanisms that would allow them dealing with the increasing cases of nurse burnout. The outcome of this is that patients would be in a better position from which to receive an elevated quality of health services while visiting these health facilities. Additionally, this would also mean that nurses would have high satisfaction levels within their respective workplace environments considering that they would be accorded effective stress management mechanisms. 

Data Gathered from InVision Human Services 

An analysis of data from InVision Human Services supports the general perspective that indeed the nurses at the facility face fatigue and burnout. The first key aspect to note is that the overall levels of fatigue among nurses is increasing at a significant rate. Fatigue can be seen from cases nurses tend to fall asleep while on duty, especially for the nurses involved in night shifts. Additionally, this can also be seen from the fact that some of the nurses tend to fail to meet expected demands while on shift considering that they face notable challenges due to fatigue. The facility has been experiencing a significant increase in cases where nurses tend to fall asleep while on duty, which has become a key issue of concern taking into account that this affects their ability to deliver positive results. The fact that nurses are experiencing a significant rise in fatigue levels means that the quality of services that the nurses would offer to patients may reduce at a significant rate. 

The second key finding is that nurses within the facility tend to lack the expected enthusiasm towards their expected duties and responsibilities. According to an analysis of data from the facility, it can be noted that increased fatigue among nurses creates a feeling of being overworked. The ultimate outcome of this is that nurses tend to lack the motivation to perform as per expected outcomes with due consideration of the fact that they are expected show high standards of motivation to perform. In the analysis of the current status within InVision Human Services, it can be noted that indeed majority of the nurses within this health facility have experienced a significant reduction in the motivation for them to perform. That means that InVision Human Services is much more likely to experience a significant reduction in its capacity to deliver the expected quality of health services. 

The third key finding to note revolves around the issue of compassion fatigue among nurses working within InVision Human Services attributed to increased burnout levels. Nurse burnout within the facility has created a situation where nurses experience a significant challenge in their bid to managing emotional stress. One key stressor is the fact that majority of these nurses tend to interact with patients suffering from a wide array of medical issues. Ultimately, this means that the nurses tend to develop that feeling of care for their patients, thus paving the way for a higher risk of compassion fatigue. An in-depth review of the nursing staff working within InVision Human Services indicates that most of them tend to have the feeling that they are not doing enough to help their patients, which is one of the key signs that suggest the possibility of compassion fatigue. 

The graph below seeks to show the overall increase in compassion fatigue and burnout levels among nurses working within InVision Human Services. From the graph, it is clear that the increase in compassion fatigue levels contributes to an increase in burnout levels. The graph represents data collected between January and July 2018, which seeks to suggest that there is a problem touching on compassion fatigue and burnout levels among nurses.

Based on the findings, it is clear that the issue of compassion fatigue and burnout among nurses is contributing to an increase in complaints among patients. Majority of these complaints revolve around poor quality of services offered by nurses within InVision Human Services. The following graph is a representation of the number of complaints recorded between January and July 2018, which would highlight the impacts of compassion fatigue and burnout. The increasing number of complaints acts as an indication of the need for change within InVision Human Services to allow for efficiency in dealing with fatigue and burnout.
