In his question, he was trying to find out how the judge sentence all those people to be persecuted and yet there was no enough time for the government to verify their innocents. As such, it was a fail on the side of the prosecutors. In that light, it showed how many innocent Americans were being sentenced to death without having a proper jurisdiction. Most of the judges were having piles of cases to resolves, and they believed that the only way of resolving such cases was to use any small information to base their judgment.
