Communication is an essential aspect of leadership and interactions. Leadership communication enhances the connection between the instructor and the follower (Harrison & Mühlberg, 2014) . In Christianity, Jesus is the instructor and Christians are the followers. Jesus advises Christian to listen before providing answers or taking any action. Solomon claimed that a person who provides answers without listening is a fool (Proverbs 18: 13). Also, Solomon added that fools rely on their opinions rather than understanding (Proverbs 18: 2). Therefore, Christians need to listen to Jesus Christ before making decisions. Further, James advises Christians to be swift in hearing but slow in responding (James 1: 19). The Bible focuses on listening as a leadership communication aspect.

Baldoni in his text provides that leadership communication entails the alignment of personal and company goals. Good leaders should align the members’ talents and corporate objectives. Secondly, leadership communication focuses on establishing trust. The leader and follower must build trust to facilitate the exchange of ideas (Baldoni, 2003). Thirdly, leadership communication focuses on setting expectations. The managers should ensure that members are aware of the company goals. Consequently, it enhances the organization’s performance (Baldoni, 2003). Fourthly, managerial communication focuses on teaching and excellent listening skills. Managers should be active listeners to provide the necessary information to their followers. Finally, leadership communication focuses on solving problems to reduce performance gaps (Baldoni, 2003). Leaders should focus on giving solutions to improve organizational efficiency.

The message in Baldoni’s text is substantial as compared to the biblical teachings. Baldoni provides examples which strengthen the text. However, the Bible contains the consequences of poor leadership communication but lacks illustrations. The outcome of good leadership communication is improved performance, good decision-making, and development of relationships (Matha, Boehm, & Tucker, 2008) . Therefore, leaders should communicate effectively to the followers to facilitate the performance of organizational processes.
