Situation Theory

According to Kovach (2018 ), Situation theory considers several variables to determine the leadership way. First, the theory identifies that there is no proper recorded leadership; a rightful leader should have the capacity to identify and blend with the current situation and environment.

The theory considers that, in most cases, employees are most likely to change in an organization compared to their leaders. Lastly, this theory proposes that the respective organization leadership should be accorded to subordinates' maturity and soundness.

Transformational Theory

The transformational theory takes a different stance from it's preceding theories on the alignment basis in that it requires the participation of the followers on matters involving special social dividends.

In transformational leadership, leaders are tasked with ensuring complete motivation and morality amongst entire followers and leaders. The interaction between the leader and followers is meant for the organization's better good and is done based on the organization's beliefs, values, and goals.

The theory also conforms with Maslow's (1954) theory that induced followers to reorder their personal needs via transcending self-interests (Latten & Perez, 2020)

Transactional Theory  Transactional leadership theory involves three components which include, management-by-exception active, management-by-exception active, and contingent reward. A contingent reward is used by a leader when giving performance explanations to the esteemed followers and appreciating work well done. Management, by exception, both passive and active, explains the effect of a leader's behavior to the predictable follower behavior that includes a deviation from the presumed follower conduct. According to the Transactional Theory, the interaction between followers and their leaders does not always generate an enthusiastic commitment to the guiding objective. The theory does not encourage leaders to motivate and promote organization performance and transformational leadership (Kovach, 2018)
