Notes on world history records generally present the history of the ancient world up to the present world and the important events which have occurred during that period. My knowledge on world history was only limited to colonization and how nations fought to gain their independence. I had never contemplated on the theory of evolution and how man came to be. When I came across this chapter on evolution, my attention was drawn towards it since I had never read about it before. I learnt that evolution was actually the beginning of all the histories we learn today and that without it, so little would be known about the world today.

Notes on world history suggest that all history classes whether for junior or senior schools should begin by dealing with the topic on evolution. All events that have ever occurred in the historical world are connected to man. Therefore, man and his origin remain as the most important subject to focus on if at all the class wants to have a clear understanding of world history. The teachers are supposed to introduce their learners to this power on evolution before they can tackle any other topic on world history.

The most effective power point presentation that helped me understand the topic on evolution well was the use of ancient drawings. These drawings were able to picture out well how ancient man looked like and the stages he underwent to transform to the modern man. I was able to clearly note step by step what occurred from the beginning of time. This type of presentation has also helped the whole class have a better foundation on world history. Many of my fellow students have complimented on this type of presentation as it has brought out the real meaning of all the world history and how it came to be.
