Theme 3:India's Great Religion. The Epic of Gilgamesh and the Rig Veda are part of the original religions of India. The religions borrow heavily from the military practices. The section describes the deities as powerful and well endowed heroes of war. Their prowess is described in terms of physical might and tact during combat.
