Upcoming Week’s Learning Goals and Objective
The learning week goals and objective will revolve around the subject of managing a diabetic person. From the research conducted on the topic, one acknowledges the seriousness surrounding diabetes management across the globe ( Sundberg et al., 2017 ). Thus the primary goal for this week is to understand the pathophysiology of the disease by conducting further research and liaising with experts in the facility. Principally, it will be important to understand the differences between Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. Thus, as an objective, researching on acute decompensation, late disease complications and how to maintain a quality life will be given a priority. Another objective will be to understand the principles of disease treatment, such as diet and exercise ( Riddell et al., 2017 ).
Detailed Schedule at Your Community Practice Experience Placement
As mentioned above, the upcoming week placement experience will revolve around taking care of patients who have diabetes. At the start of the week, one will be required to have gone through course materials on diabetes. From this foundational information, it will be possible to conduct secondary research from the internet from scholarly articles, government publications and other credible sources on the disease. Each day will be spent caring for diabetes patients, learning from the medical experts already in practices and sharing with other colleagues in the facility.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
Placement Issues Concerning During Week
There were no significant issues that occurred during this week however, there one positive aspect that injected energy in the learning process. The students under placement were given a range of activities beyond the usual that gave each a thrill to learn more about patient care. Moreover, the nursing professionals at the facility are committed to working closely with those on placement. With such an attitude, it will be possible for one to look forward to amassing as much knowledge because those with experience have confidence in students.
A Description of an Objective Worked on During the Week
A key objective that I pursued in during the week was to collaborate with members of multidisciplinary teams. From the collaboration, I learnt about the interdependency of different professionals in hospitals and their contributions. Research indicates that collaboration in the medical field helps in decision making and improving the quality of care of patients ( Markowski, 2018; Rydenfält et al., 2017 ).
