The dataset used in this task was from a survey which was taken from individuals, ages 24–35 to determine years of completed formal education. Basically, The Durante Foundation values education and wants to fund an educational community grant to enhance graduation rates. Based on this, the foundation is requesting the mean, median, and mode values for grades of educational attainment within the community. These are measures of central tendencies which are useful in interpreting the findings.
For instance, the findings in Table 1 from the SPSS output showed that the data was obtained from a population of 90 students. The mean years of completed formal education are 12.11 with a standard deviation of 2.854. Additionally, both the median and mode is the same at 12 as shown in Table 1.

Given the fact that the mean is slightly larger than the median; 12.11>12.0, the histogram on this dataset is skewed towards the positive direction. This means that more data tend to lie towards the right side than the left direction. In other words, the years of completing formal education are high. With a standard deviation of 2.854 which is equally small, this indicates that more values of the datasets are close towards the mean and only a few values are away from the mean.
Mean is the best measure of central tendency is the most appropriate statistic to summarize these data because it takes into consideration all the values within the dataset, unlike median or mode which is specifically considering a value in the dataset.
From these findings, it will be necessary for the Durante Foundation to allocate more funds to individuals who are likely to take more than 12 years of completing formal education during the foundation's future funding priorities.
