Chronical diseases are among the leading factors of death in the world; the medical facility department has greatly paid attention to some ways to help mitigate the situation ( Hurtley, 2015 ). Through this, different nations such as The United States and India have taken the initiative to invest heavily in this disease. However, despite the milestone steps each country has heavily invested in them, they are still facing a critical challenge to curb the spread of this disease.
The Lou Gehrig's Disease also commonly regarded as ALS is a chronical disease that affects the nervous system weakening the muscle in the body system. As Nelson et al., (2011) points out, there is no cure for the disease to ensure that the patient is fully cured. However, there are a couple of different methods that when in use can reduce the development of the ALS, such as therapy and medication. Additionally, one can also use the medical care team as well as the use of medication to help the patient.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
Will any of the solutions you researched address more than one barrier for clients when managing the chronic disease, you selected?
The use of the medical care team comprises a set of different practitioners, that explicitly takes care of the dynamic challenges the patient is facing such as, transportation from bed to the chair as well as taking care of the bathing processes of the patient ( Cirulli et al., 2015 ).
Which solutions do you think will be most effective based on the requirements of your client and the clinical microsystem ?
The use of “Medical care team,” seems to be the most efficient solution that helps guarantee the family with a piece of mind, since the patient’s needs are taken care off by a couple of qualified practitioners.
What is one health-promotion activity you will propose?
Since the ALS attacks more parts of the muscle, I would take the initiative of healthy food campaign promotion.
Why do you think this activity is appropriate given the chronic disease your client is managing?
With the idea of health food reach in proteins is a better choice to ensure that the patient generates a substantial amount of proteins in his or her body system.
Who would be responsible for implementing the changes you are proposing?
It is quite difficult for the patient to adhere to these changes ( Schmidt et al., 2016 ). However, with the help of other family members such as parents or head of the family are the best to implement these changes.
What leadership style should they use?
Since it is a healthy program promotion, participate leadership will be used in this case to offer room for consultation from both ends.
How will you measure the effectiveness of your recommendations using the balanced scorecard model?
By checking on the progress of the patient, whether there is an improvement or the condition is deteriorating. In other words, this will help the patient live longer with fewer parts attacked.
