In essence, there is no doubt that less effective technology was conducted manually in the pre-modern hospitals. In this light, most diagnoses were based on a trial and error procedure. However, with further acetate of technology as a central part of the modern society and technological advancement, hospitals have utilized technology with an aim of delivering more efficient healthcare services. With the precision that advanced technology has provided, more diseases have been cured while there have been researches to alleviate the effects of some specific conditions in the society. Some procedures that have been aided by technological advancement in the field of medicine include MRI, CT scan, X-ray, and surgery. The purpose of this paper is to discuss in detail how technology has shaped society, how the society has helped in developing medical technology, and personal biography about medical technology.
Primarily, patients are considered the most beneficiaries of the modern technological discoveries in hospitals. Consequently, technologies have often improved patient’s experiences in the healthcare facilities across the globe (Kingma, 2018). For instance, various medical procedures were known to be done manually especially record keeping of patient’s details in hospitals (Kingma, 2018). Nonetheless, with technological discoveries in recent times, the process of record keeping has become efficient and easy to perform especially by the use of EHR technology (Dubois, 2015). Additionally, the method of retrieving patient’s records has become easy, therefore, improving the overall patient’s experience in the hospital. As a beneficiary of the modern technology, I have been pleased by how I have been able to get faster medical attention thanks to the availability of EHR. Notably, this is because the medical practitioners are able to retrieve my credentials based on the past visits to the hospital, therefore, highlighting the benefits of technology in hospitals.

The aspect of the social construction of technology is often founded based on the human’s action as being capable of shaping technology (Dubois, 2015). The Way technology is modeled in the contemporary society is deeply embedded in the social setting particularly nursing homes as well as hospice. The failures and success of technology are measured by the number of individuals who are using technology (Dubois, 2015). Consequently, researches have suggested that the success of a technology is virtually attributed to the fact that most experienced doctors are using them. Additionally, the overall acceptance of technology has resulted in its success in modern days. In this light, the way in which people perceive technology has greatly impacted other discoveries in the field of medicine.
In a nutshell, cultural forces, as well as political alignment, are considered as the main drivers underlining the aspect of social construction. As a result, human being has aided in the development of modern technology particularly in the field of medicine, therefore, improving the overall patient's experience. By using the aspect of social construction, I have been able to understand how I have been able to receive fast medical attention whenever I am sick.
