I take this opportunity to resign from my post as the chief operations officer of our organization. Over the past few years, I have worked with dedication to ensure that the company achieve the best results and also provide that it makes the goals that it has outlined in its organizational strategic plan. To steer this company to the required heights, one is supposed to be of good health so that he or she can make sound decisions for the company. It is through the good health that I have enjoyed working for the company and ensuring that I deliver the best results for the company. However, recently I was diagnosed with a medical condition, and the doctors advised that I should consider taking lighter duties. Doctors diagnosed me with cardiac disease and said that I should change my schedules so that I can have enough rests to ensure that I check my health. My current position as the chief operating officer of this corporation is quite hectic and involving. It requires one to be physically and mentally engaged in the different operations and decision-making process. To ensure that the various functions of the organization are conducting in line with the organization’s standards and guidelines that are set by the company. According to the advice that I was given by the doctors at the medical facility that I had visited for the medical check-up, I am supposed to take on lighter duties, those that do not make me get so much involved both physically and mentally. Such tasks will drain my health and make me remain a dangerous condition.

Because of this, I had to decide on my current position, considering the medical grounds I have had to resign from my job as the chief operations officer of the company. It is quite a hard decision to take but putting into considerations the goals and objectives that have been set by this organization; I had to take the step so that a more competent person can take over and steer the organization into greater heights. I have also decided to offer support to the hospital’s cardiac so that it can improve the services that it provides to people with heart conditions. I am also seeking help from well-wishers, those who would like to support the hospital financially can also join me in this noble course. This is a charitable course that will offer financial support to the organization.

In making this condition, I looked at the consequences of the decisions that I was about to make before I made them. I considered the outcomes of my continued stay at my current visit and found out that it would have been better if I resigned. I had to think beyond my happiness, interests and consider the rest of the organization. By resigning from this position as the chief operations officer, I will lose some of the benefits and privileges that I have enjoyed as the head of operations for this organization. I will lose some of my earnings and also lose some of the allowances that I am given as a senior manager. However, I had to put aside my interests and consider what is right for the organization. In this case, the organization will enjoy more benefits, a new chief operations officer who is competent and can work for the organization and deliver its goals and objectives will be selected. This also means that the employees of the organization will get the best out of the work that they input into the organization. An able chief operations officer will help the organization grow further.
