Question 1

The Patient Protection and Affordable Act (ACA) has positively impacted my life and family in accessing medical services. Here, ACA ensured that families like mine received health insurance coverage at low and affordable rates (Cheng et al., 2014) . The following are examples of ACA's medical services: buying medicine at low prices, free contraceptives, and free preventive screening. In other words, the aim of the Act mentioned earlier was to ensure low-income families gain medical insurance, hence able to access the medical services when in need of them with their children under the age of 26 years old. I strongly believe that the legislation Act mentioned above came into place to serve US citizens' interests. Currently, approximately 20million American citizens can easily obtain medical services through medical insurance coverage resulting from ACA. Also, medical services are crucial to people since it promotes their chances of survival.

The repealing of the ACA due to the current politics would cause massive negative impacts on American citizens and the general healthcare system. Here, research shows that doing away with the Act would lead to an average of 19.7 million Americans resulting in no medical insurance coverage (Cohn, 2020). Lack of medical insurance may lead to deaths and the presence of an unhealthy population within the nation.

Question 2

Selective listening

For example, one day, I was in the office, and my boss came in to inquire if I had finished the reports he assigned to me, and I reacted by responding to him concerning the reports.

Active listening

For example, I was once involved in a group discussion that required engaging with my colleagues concerning the strategies that would help our company achieve its objective and goals.

Reflective listening

For instance, the head management in my workplace held a meeting to discuss its goals and objectives; I nodded to show agreement and acceptance for the objectives and suggested a few strategies to achieve them.

Question 3

As the supervisor in charge of my department, I would employ Process benchmarking and strategic benchmarking techniques to ensure quality delivery of services from my department to our clients ('About Benchmarking,' n.d). Here, Process benchmarking involves the general identification of how other top and well-performing companies in the same industry launch their products into the market and achieve success. Site visits and online research enable once to acquire such knowledge hence equipping my time for the launching process. Secondly, strategic benchmarking enables one to learn and borrow the winning points or strategies employed by successful companies in the same industry while launching and selling their product. I would educate my team and train them based on my findings, making them ready to launch the HIV vaccine.

Question 4

I would first come up with a draft or document that entails; the job analysis, general job description, and the qualities I desire from my candidates to qualify for the vacant position. Once the document is complete, I would advertise the job on social media and the company's official website. The following are some of the sources I would use to find a suitable candidate for the Medical Coding supervisor position; visiting various available career sites such as career builders where people post their resume and other personal achievements, and LinkedIn website. LinkedIn refers to official recruiting sites where employers find suitable candidates for various jobs (Engel, & Curran, 2016). Some of the major qualities desired in the position mentioned above are; a career-wise competent person, a good time manager, the experience of more than three years, and a team player. I would also identify and know if the candidate fits with our organizational culture from the interview based on the nature of his or her answers. I would also use social media to check the shortlisted candidates' profiles before making the final decision concerning the chosen candidate.
