Mr. Ruben's Severe Headache and Sharp Stomach Pain

Mr. Ruben Mac is a divorced husband aged 56 years. He was married to Letisha Ruben but divorced a few months ago. He came to the states at the age of 30 years where he married Letisha. He had been married for 20 years and has one son and one daughter both of whom live in Germany. The children rarely visit him since the divorce and so Mr. Ruben is drowning in thoughts because the family has neglected him. He has a chihuahua dog named after his daughter. Mr. Ruben speaks fluent Germany, works in a construction company as the construction supervisor, and also owns a business locally. 

Mr. Ruben visited my clinic today in the afternoon because he had a severe headache and also experienced some sharp pain in the stomach. He also complained of sight problems which began the past one-week symptoms. After obtaining the vital signs from the patient, I measured his temperature which was 38.8 degrees Celsius. He 5.5ft tall 78lbs heavy. He showed some signs of depression after explaining to me the struggles he has underwent following the divorce. For instance, the management of chores has been hectic to the extent he has to rely on fast food other than healthy home-made meals.

In the process of consultation, the patient also added that it is not ethical to instantly start seeing someone right fresh from a divorce according to their culture. Since Mr. Ruben was so clingy on the culture and that had played a role in the illness as the nurse had to prescribe natural therapy since this was the first treatment. The depression had turned him to be an introvert, and so he was to try making friends. In addition, he could look for someone to live with to avoid loneliness. I also, administered a pynstop tablet, which would serve as painkillers for ulcers that had resulted from depression. 

Since, Mr. Rueben was not an English native speaker comprehension of English difficult. As such, much of the prescription was done diagrammatically to make him understand. While administering the medicine I leaned forward to show concern to what he was saying. Also, I used facial expressions to create a patient-nurse connection. In addition, I will explain to him the importance of his health hand the need to bend culture to pursue happiness. The patient revealed willingness to cooperate and made a call to the daughter to make sure she is with him during the next session.
