My personal goal as a nurse is to acquire the necessary skills, knowledge, and experience that will enable me to provide excellent care that meets the patient and their families at the point of need. Patient satisfaction and experience that is defined by high clinical quality is my priority as an aspiring healthcare executive. I understand that attaining such a professional objective is only possible by advancing my education in a credible institution that adheres to, values all the tenets of knowledge, and has a proven record of accomplishment. In this regard, few learning institutions match Walden University; it has all that is all that it takes to train the learner into responsible and productive members of the medical fraternity.
At first glance, I was drawn to Walden University due to the quality of the course and the tradition of producing great medical practitioners such as nurses. Further investigation revealed that the university’s mission and vision statements were consistent with my professional mission. The college of Nursing aims at transforming nursing graduates to meet the needs of communities. As mentioned, my objective has always been to serve humanity using the skills acquired in school. Its mission states, “Provides a diverse community of career professionals with the opportunity to transform…” In the contemporary setting, the nursing and, in general, the medical fraternity is changing fast. The reforms necessitate students’ enrollment in a college that understands the need to adapt to the changing times.
