An interest group is an organization of set people who have a common idea. These people share a common interest and collaborate to protect their interests (Hardy, 2015) . Additionally, these interest groups protect their interest through influencing the government. These groups are distinguished by bases of size, aims, and tactics. They are divided into economic and noneconomic groups. There are several interest groups in the United States which include the National Rifle Association, US Chamber of Conference, and American Medical Association among other IGs. Through the meetings and events held by the association, future goals are communicated to its members who spread the message to other people. Through this NRA has been able to protect the constitution of America.
NRA has achieved most of its goals. One of the successful pushes is the twenty-one emergency power laws which forbid restrictions on firearms. Secondly, the twenty castle doctrine laws which are laws that permit an individual to use any power against criminals (Hardy, 2015) . Additionally, the seven range protections laws and six states laws that forbid municipalities from limiting gun right are also major successes of NRA. From the impact, the successes have to the citizens and the nation as a whole; it is possible to evaluate the IG.
