The main aim of National Rifle Association in America was because of the increased lack of marksmanship by their troops and Union veterans (Hardy, 2015) . This interests group was formed to advocate for gun rights in America. The group informed its millions of members about firearm-related bills and has lobbied for and against the legislation. Typically, the main purpose of NRA is to protect and defend the America Constitution. Generally, NRA is an American interest group which interests is based on one political arena issue which is the gun control.

The current head of NRA is Wayne Robert Lapierre (Hardy, 2015) .. Wayne was born on the eighth day of November 1949. Wayne is an American gun rights advocate in America. NRA head has been a government activist and lobbyist. Wayne has a master’s degree in government and politics. He has also been on board of directors of the American Association of political consultants, American conservative union among other unions and foundations (Hardy, 2015) . Wayne has served NRA since 1991 as executive president and CEO of NRA.

As an NRA member, there is an official membership card, a free decal and a free subscription to one NRA’s award magazine. To become a member, there is a $40 membership fee. After becoming a member and unlocking all the benefits of a member, there are several benefits from the association to its members (Hardy, 2015) . These benefits include free admission to NRA’s gun, gear and outfitter show, a member can get his or her own choice of member magazine, huge savings and $7,500 no-cost gun owner protection insurance.

Upcoming events in NRA include NRA black powder certification course which is scheduled for March third, 2018 where NRA member participation fee is $99 and non-member is $105.55, NRA /MLAGB RO endorsement course scheduled for March fourth, 2018, CSR 2017/18 winter league scheduled for March third, 2018, Saturday evening celebration, and NRA country Jam scheduled for fourth May 2018 (Hardy, 2015) .

This is a video from the NRA interest group where there was a deadly shooting. This was in Marjory Stoneman Douglas students where student returns to their university after the shooting. http://abcnews.go.com/topics/news/issues/national-rifle-association.htm. Consequently, there was a launching of a new generation of activists who are now putting pressure on NRA an association whose interest is to fight against guns. This was through random interviews with the students and some residents in the city where the shooting occurred.

The main goal of NRA was to promote and encourage rifle shooting. Additionally, NRA wanted to protect the constitution of United States with references to the inalienable rights of the citizens. Besides, NRA had a goal of protecting the public safety law and order. Notational Rifle Association has hosted several shooting sports. This is one of the ways the association has tried to achieve its goals.

NRA achieves its goals through lobbying and influencing the government. The association also holds meetings and conferences that help it in generating funds to run the association (Hardy, 2015) .. Through the meetings and events held by the association, future goals are communicated to its members who spread the message to other people. Through this NRA has been able to protect the constitution of America.

NRA has achieved most of its goals. One of the successful pushes is the twenty-one emergency power laws which forbid restrictions on firearms. Secondly, the twenty castle doctrine laws which are laws that permit an individual to use any power against criminals (Hardy, 2015) . Additionally, the seven range protections laws and six states laws that forbid municipalities from limiting gun right are also major successes of NRA. From the impact, the successes have to the citizens and the nation as a whole; it is possible to evaluate the IG.
